| Posted: 19 Aug 2008 07:31 AM CDT  According to engadgetmobile.com there’s a new release of the Android SDK available v0.9 so whats next 1.0 ? Usually 1.0 means We are out of beta version. Some of the changes are adding a new widgetified (big old clock: present!) and flickable homescreen, a handy (and speedy) tab to pull up your apps, plus a media player, camera, and handful of other noticeable design tweaks. | No Microsoft’s Exchange and Ads on your Phone Posted: 19 Aug 2008 05:59 AM CDT HTC’s Android-based Dream phone may not support push-based work mail or ship as soon as expected, according to electronista.com. The device only supports push e-mail through Google’s own Gmail service and that support for Microsoft’s Exchange service isn’t known at the moment. The phone may take advantage of Google’s dominance of web advertising to lower the cost of the device; those who volunteer to allow ads on their phone may see discounts either on the initial cost of the device or for their monthly subscription fees. These customers will see ads that are based not only on interests revealed through apps but also through the phone’s location. They also suggest the handset may not be available until near the Thanksgiving in November. | Posted: 19 Aug 2008 05:34 AM CDT The long rumored HTC Dream aka “The Googlephone” or “The Gphone” received FCC approval. The handset is listed as type, “Dream’ with a model of “DREA100″ it also appears with a WiFi Interoperability Certificate touting 802.11b/g WiFi.
